Corrie grew up on the Sunshine Coast, living in Buderim and attended Maroochydore State High School graduating in 1990.
Travelling to Sydney for university, he initially began studying Aeronautical Engineering at the University of New South Wales in Randwick, but after 2 years decided to change to a Bachelor of Science in order to begin studies in the health sciences. Not long after that he enrolled in Macquarie University's Master of Chiropractic program whilst finishing the last year of his science degree.
Corrie graduated from Macquarie University with a Masters degree in Chiropractic in 1998, and decided to move back to the Sunshine Coast to begin his career as a chiropractor.
After a start in solo practice at Currimundi, he took over Jack Schlink's practice - Maroochydore Chiropractic Clinic - in late 2000, and since then has endeavoured to build a referral based practice with local medical practitioners.
In 2017 Corrie completed further study gaining a Masters degree in Workplace Health & Safety from Newcastle University, culminating in the development of a research proposal to investigate the relationship between lower back pain and workplace bullying.
He is a member of Chiropractic Australia and is registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs and Medicare. He is also a BUPA preferred provider in their Members First network.
Corrie is a long-time powerlifter, so has a great understanding of biomechanics and can help assess, treat or refer you to specialists for many sports or work-related injuries.
